Hello. We're still building the website for the play 19 weeks. In the meantime, here is some information about the show:
19 weeks is written by Emily Steel. It will be directed by Daisy Brown and performed by Tiffany Lyndall Knight in the swimming pool of the Adina Apartment Hotel, 1-18 March as part of Adelaide Fringe 2017.
Everyone knows someone who has had an abortion or lost a pregnancy - even if they don’t talk about it. In 2016, playwright Emily Steel had a termination after her baby was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. This is her story, told honestly and publicly, because there are so many more stories out there.
19 weeks aims to create a space where we can be more open with each other and feel less alone in our experiences. If you'd like to share your own story, please email us at 19weeksproject@gmail.com
We will post stories on the website when it is ready.
(We won't post any that criticise other people's choices or experiences - so try not to send us any like that. Ta.)
